It all comes down to what outcome you want from the Lean Six Sigma course and what your needs are in terms of your Lean Six Sigma ability. Pick which statement most accurately reflects your needs and we’ll explain what Lean Six Sigma course is best suited to you:

Lean Six Sigma White Belt Training

This course is designed for people who have never heard of Lean Six Sigma and want a very basic introduction. It’s usually only available online as it’s so quick to deliver; it’s generally not worth training out in a classroom environment. You won’t really learn about the tools and techniques, nor how to apply them – just the over-arching Lean & Six Sigma concepts and history.

This is the least popular level of training available.

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training

This course is designed for people who want a good awareness of what Lean Six Sigma is all about. You’ll learn about the over-arching concepts of Lean and Six Sigma, the background and history of them and a selection of most commonly used tools and techniques. You probably won’t be able to use these tools and techniques to improve something, but you could work competently on a project team working with Lean Six Sigma Green Belts.

This is a popular level of training for organisations that want to create a groundswell of Lean six Sigma understanding in their organisation.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training

This course is designed for people who actually want to do the doing. You want to work on improvement projects – you want to understand how to deliver improvements using a range of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques. You’re responsible for the project, including understanding the problem, analysing data, getting to the root cause of the issue, coming up with improvements and implementing them. You might be a Subject Matter Expert (SME), a front line staff member or a team Manager or maybe even a specialist supporting colleague.

This is the most popular level of training and the one most needed in an organisation.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training

This course is designed for people who want to become experts in process improvement. You will be able to handle the most complex of projects or programmes – understand how to work across different functions, have terrific stakeholder management and communications skills and be able to coach and mentor Lean Six Sigma Green Belts to help them become the best they can be and deliver the best results from your improvement projects. There shouldn’t really be any tool or technique you’re not comfortable using and you should be able to deliver detailed statistical analysis.

This is the 2nd most popular level of training and the one that often the most sought after by the employment marketplace.

Lean for Leaders Training

This course is designed for people who actually want to do the doing. You want to work on improvement projects – you want to understand how to deliver improvements using a range of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques. You’re responsible for the project, including understanding the problem, analysing data, getting to the root cause of the issue, coming up with improvements and implementing them. You might be a Subject Matter Expert (SME), a front line staff member or a team Manager or maybe even a specialist supporting colleague.

This is great for Leaders who want to understand how they can benefit from implementing Lean Six Sigma in their organisation and what they need to do to support it.
