We’ve talked before about making mistakes and how it is the only way to get better.
I was watching a fantastic TED talk the other day which talked about creativity and how we don’t teach our kids how to be creative.
Sir Robinson says “If you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original”.
Sir Ken Robinson talks about how children will try anything and be prepared to fail and then we slowly train that behaviour out of them. Then we wonder why creativity is so hard to come by in Adults.
So if you want to come up with a new approach to anything, you have to be prepared for that new approach to crash and burn.
Have you ever not tried something because you were worried it wouldn’t work?
